European Gearless Dry Coaster Fleet Annual Report

Control & Commercial Landscape, Fleet Development, Utilisation, Values and Legislation.

We use AIS data to establish a fleet profile of the vessels operating in the European market. We then divide the fleet into the three regions of Baltic Northwest Europe, the Western Mediterranean, and the Eastern Mediterranean/Black Sea.

To gain a comprehensive picture of demand we consider fleet utilisation, waiting times with and without cargo, vessel speed and freight rates.

The supply side is considered when looking at the fleet development, where we report on the age profile, demolitions, orderbook and whether vessels have left or returned to trading in the area. The report concludes by examining the supply and demand impact on asset values.
